If you’ve got financial aspirations like buying your first home, starting a family, or even saving for a big holiday, one of the best things you can do is get to grips with your current financial situation so you understand how and when you can reach your goals. At BNZ we offer financial health checks to customers who’d like to work through where they are now and where they’d like to be in the future – whether that’s next year, in 5 years’ time, or long after retirement has started.
A financial health check is a recommendation based conversation where one of our BNZ staff members gets to know you and understand the full scope of your aspirations and financial goals. By having these conversations we than have the ability to give recommendations based on the relevant information.
Our recommendations are impartial which means we won’t try to sell to you or set any expectations, however should you wish to talk to us further around how the BNZ can help we’d love that opportunity.
By clicking on the link below you can see the ‘mind map’ we use during a financial health check to capture all your relevant information.
We start by understanding who you are and what your current situation looks like. Everything from your family, your place of work, and your interests and hobbies. We then have a look at what’s on your agenda and what you’re trying to achieve. This is everything from repaying debt, starting a family, or getting onto the property ladder. Next, we have a look at what your future looks like and what financial goals you’re aspiring to achieve. Some common goals we see here are reducing student loans, starting a business, and retirement.
Once we have a good idea of where you’d like to be we then dive into your budget. This is the real value add and a game changer on making those goals a reality.
From there we can build a plan together taking into account all the information you’ve given to set you on the right path in achieving the goals most important to you.
